Tinubu Govt’s Goal Is To Stop Strong Presidential Challengers – Timi Fran

Timi Frank, a former deputy national publicity secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has accused President Bola Tinubu’s government of trying to stop strong presidential challengers ahead of the 2027 elections. Frank claims Tinubu is using tactics like blackmailing and intimidating opposition governors to defect to the APC, and exploiting ethnic and regional divisions to secure support .
Frank also alleges that Tinubu’s administration is pursuing a “Lagos-centric agenda”, concentrating power and economic opportunities in Lagos, and attempting to relocate Nigeria’s capital from Abuja. He warns that this could undermine national unity and stability.
Additionally, Frank has criticized Tinubu’s award of the Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON) to Gilbert Chagoury, citing allegations of corruption and money laundering against Chagoury
