President Bola Tinubu has recorded a landslide victory over his only challenger, Stanley Osifo, in the All Progressives Congress presidential primary, following massive endorsements from party structures across the country ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The APC primary process was largely dominated by endorsements from governors, party stakeholders, grassroots delegates, and key organs of the ruling party, clearing the path for Tinubu to emerge as the party’s presidential flag bearer for a second-term bid.

Meanwhile, fresh details have emerged on how Siminalayi Fubara allegedly lost the support of President Tinubu and the APC leadership amid the lingering political crisis with his predecessor and Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.

According to findings by Sunday PUNCH, credible APC leaders involved in reconciliation efforts claimed that Fubara fell out with the Presidency and the ruling party after reportedly failing to honour agreed reconciliation terms aimed at resolving the political standoff in Rivers State.
