Adeleke to Commission Landmark Lameco Bridge, Major Road Projects in Osun

The Imole Campaign Council (TICC) has announced plans for the commissioning of a new round of infrastructure projects executed by the administration of Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke.
According to a statement issued by the Director-General of TICC, Senator Kamorudeen Oyewumi, the projects will be unveiled during a two-day ceremony beginning on Wednesday with the commissioning of the five-span Lameco overhead bridge in Osogbo.
The bridge will be inaugurated by the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rasheed Adewolu Ladoja, Arusa I. The event is also expected to be attended by the Ataoja of Osogboland, Oba Jimoh Adetunji Olanipekun, Larooye II, alongside other traditional rulers, government officials, and stakeholders.
The Lameco overhead bridge was constructed to address long-standing traffic congestion along the busy corridor, improve connectivity, and boost economic activities within the Osun State capital.
Activities will continue on Thursday in Ejigbo, where the Ogiyan of Ejigbo, Oba Omowonuola Oyeyode, Oyeyosin II, will commission the first phase of the 12-kilometre Ejigbo–Ilawo–Iwo Road and the six-kilometre Ejigbo–Isoko–Aye Road.
Following the commissioning, the state government will also flag off construction of the remaining phases of both road projects as part of efforts to expand the state’s road network and strengthen economic links between communities.
Oyewumi said the commissioning exercise would continue in the coming weeks as more completed projects under the Adeleke administration are scheduled for inauguration.
He urged residents to protect the newly completed infrastructure and partner with the government to ensure their long-term sustainability and maximum benefit to communities across the state.
