Veteran Nollywood actor Adebayo Salami, popularly known as Oga Bello, has reflected on the early days of his acting career, saying passion for the arts was the driving force behind their journey.
The respected actor made the remarks while sharing a throwback photograph of himself and fellow veteran actor Baba Wande on his Instagram page.
Recalling their humble beginnings in theatre, Oga Bello said neither fame nor financial reward motivated them when they started acting. Instead, he explained that their commitment was rooted in genuine love for the craft.
According to him, every success and reward that followed their dedication was a divine blessing.
“When we started theatre, our minds and hearts were more about passion for the arts. Every other goodness that came from it was just a divine bonus for us,” he wrote.
The post has since drawn admiration from fans and colleagues, many of whom praised the veteran actor for his dedication and contribution to the growth of Nigeria’s theatre and film industry.
