Festus Keyamo, Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, has drawn attention to the intriguing cross-party dynamics in Benue State politics following the emergence of Blessing Onuh as All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates for the House of Representatives.

In a statement on his official X handle on Monday, May 18, 2026, reacting to the primaries outcome, Keyamo underscored the unusual situation involving of ADC National Chairman David Mark who positioned his party as the key opposition force.

Regina Akume, wife of Secretary to the Government of the Federation George Akume, secured the APC ticket for the Gboko/Tarka federal constituency.

Similarly, Blessing Onuh, daughter of former Senate President David Mark who currently serves as the National Chairman of the opposition African Democratic Congress (ADC) won the ticket for the Otukpo/Ohimini constituency.

Keyamo, a staunch APC chieftain, reacting to the development said, “David Mark’s family will campaign for both APC and ADC on the day of the Presidential/National Assembly elections.” Employing a Gen Z slang to capture the moment, the Minister added, “In the words of the Gen Zs, ‘Everywhere Go First Blur…’”
