UBA Rewards Customers with Over ₦400m Anniversary Bonus

LAGOS – United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc has rewarded thousands of customers with over ₦400 million in anniversary bonuses under its flagship UBA Bumper Account, reaffirming its commitment to rewarding customer loyalty and promoting a savings culture.
The bank said the payout is one of the largest loyalty rewards distributed under the Bumper Account initiative since its launch, with qualifying customers receiving cash bonuses directly into their accounts.
The UBA Bumper Account is a savings product that rewards eligible customers with annual cash bonuses for maintaining and growing their savings.
UBA’s Head of Retail Products, Tomiwa Sotiloye, said the bank remains committed to rewarding customers for their loyalty and helping them achieve their financial goals.
He said surpassing the ₦400 million payout reflects UBA’s commitment to creating products that encourage savings while delivering tangible benefits to customers.
Sotiloye added that new and existing customers can open a UBA Bumper Account through any UBA branch, the UBA Mobile Banking App, the *919# USSD platform or online to qualify for future anniversary rewards.
Also speaking, UBA’s Group Head of Brands, Marketing and Corporate Communications, Alero Ladipo, said the Bumper Account reflects the bank’s customer-first approach.
According to her, the over ₦400 million credited directly into customers’ accounts demonstrates UBA’s commitment to rewarding responsible financial behaviour and appreciating customers for their continued confidence in the bank.
The UBA Bumper Account is one of the bank’s flagship retail savings products, offering savings benefits, digital convenience and annual loyalty rewards as part of UBA’s strategy to deepen financial inclusion and encourage sustainable savings habits.
