Zlatan Ibile Returns to MAPOLY with Free Homecoming Concert, Unveils Music Studio

Nigerian music star Omoniyi Temidayo, popularly known as Zlatan Ibile, has announced plans to return to his alma mater, Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), for a free homecoming concert and the unveiling of a new music studio.
The event, tagged “Homecoming,” is scheduled to take place on July 1, 2026, at the MAPOLY Sports Centre in Ogun State.
According to the announcement shared on his Instagram page, the concert will be free for students and will mark his first major campus performance of the year.
Reflecting on his journey, Zlatan described MAPOLY as the institution that laid the foundation for his music career before he rose to national prominence.
The rapper said his return is more than just a performance, describing it as an opportunity to reconnect with and celebrate the student community where his musical journey began.
“MAPOLY July 1st!!! MAPOLY made me before the world knew my name. Same ground, same dream, same hunger that carried me everywhere. Now I’m coming back home. Not just to perform for you, but to celebrate with you. A free show for my people. The place where it all started. Symbol Of Hope HOMECOMING. MAPOLY Sport Center, Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Ogun State,” he wrote.
Zlatan studied at MAPOLY in the early 2010s before fully pursuing his music career.
During his time at the institution, he built a loyal following by performing at campus events, freestyling with fellow students, and developing the energetic, street-inspired style that would later propel him to national fame.
The upcoming homecoming is expected to attract students, alumni, and music lovers, while the unveiling of the music studio is seen as a move to inspire and nurture the next generation of talents emerging from the institution.
