Carter Efe Fires Back at Kolu Over Abandonment Claims, Shares His Side of Viral Fallout

Nigerian skitmaker and streamer Carter Efe has publicly denied allegations that he abandoned his former associate, Kolu, as an escalating online dispute between the pair continues to generate widespread reactions on social media.
The controversy began after Kolu accused Carter Efe of cutting off both financial and professional support following a reported fallout between them. According to Kolu, the content creator stopped assisting him financially and no longer included him in events and other opportunities.
Responding during a livestream, Carter Efe dismissed the accusations, insisting that he had continued to support Kolu despite their differences.
The skitmaker claimed he had sent money to Kolu as recently as the previous week and presented what he described as evidence of financial transfers to back up his assertions. He argued that the allegations being levelled against him did not accurately reflect the nature of their recent interactions.
Carter Efe also criticised Kolu’s handling of finances, alleging that he often spends money irresponsibly despite receiving assistance from friends and associates.
“Kolu likes women too much. God will punish him. He sends money to women, and many of them have deceived him in Lekki,” he said during the livestream.
The content creator further alleged that Kolu purchased a Honda vehicle for ₦8 million and had since spent approximately ₦15 million on repairs, describing the situation as an example of poor financial decision-making.
“He bought a Honda for ₦8 million and has already spent about ₦15 million repairing it. I told him to work, but he refused,” Carter Efe added.
The public exchange has divided opinion online, with some social media users expressing support for Carter Efe’s explanation, while others have urged both parties to resolve their differences away from the public eye.
As the situation continues to unfold, the dispute has sparked broader conversations about loyalty, accountability and the challenges of maintaining personal and professional relationships in Nigeria’s fast-growing entertainment and content creation industry.
