Tinubu Swears In Eight New RMAFC, NPC Commissioners Ahead of FEC Meeting

President Bola Tinubu on Monday inaugurated eight newly appointed federal commissioners for the Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) and the National Population Commission (NPC) during a swearing-in ceremony held at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The ceremony took place at the Council Chambers of the State House shortly before the commencement of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting chaired by the President.
The newly sworn-in RMAFC commissioners are Hajiya Amina Ibrahim Gamawa and Abdullahi Mukhtar Muhammad.
For the National Population Commission, the President administered the Oath of Office to Nasiru Mu’azu Magarya, Kolawole Oladipupo Alabi, Prof. Sadiq Isah Radda, Suleiman Umar, Dr. Isiaka Alada Yahaya and Chiso Abdullahi Dattijo.
Gamawa, an indigene of Bauchi State, is a lawyer and journalist with an extensive public service career spanning the National Assembly, Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) and the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). She also contributed to the establishment of Nigeria’s National Blood Transfusion Service.
Muhammad, from Kaduna State, is a legal practitioner and seasoned administrator. He previously served as Executive Secretary of the Kaduna State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board before becoming Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).
Among the NPC appointees, Magarya is a former Speaker of the Zamfara State House of Assembly, while Alabi is an information systems and supply chain management expert who most recently served as Executive Commissioner for Corporate Services at the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC).
Radda is a Professor of Sociology and Criminology at Bayero University, Kano, and previously served on the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption.
Umar retired from the Nigeria Immigration Service as a Deputy Comptroller General, where he supervised intelligence, investigation and enforcement operations. Yahaya is a career officer of the National Population Commission who rose through the ranks to become Director of Public Affairs.
Dattijo, a former Deputy Governor of Sokoto State, was reappointed for a second term as Federal Commissioner, having previously served in several ministerial capacities within the state government.
The appointments are expected to reinforce the operations of the Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission and the National Population Commission, two strategic federal institutions responsible for revenue allocation, fiscal oversight and population management in Nigeria.
