Notorious Bandit Kingpin Boasts of Access to Military Secrets, Vows More Abductions

A notorious bandit leader, Kachalla Maha, has threatened to kidnap top government officials, including state governors, while claiming to have access to confidential security intelligence ahead of military operations.
Maha made the remarks in a recorded audio message that surfaced on Sunday and was circulated by verified X user, Abdool Moh.
In the recording, the bandit kingpin accused authorities of refusing to release his arrested associates and seized cattle, insisting that the government’s actions had forced him to intensify attacks across affected communities.
He alleged that repeated appeals for the release of his men were ignored, adding that he had no intention of ending his violent campaign.
According to Maha, the arrest of his loyalists prompted him to plan more abductions.
“You arrested my men, and I asked for their release. You refused. I promised that I would abduct many people, and I already have targets,” he said.
He further claimed that he was prepared to withstand any military offensive.
“I asked why my men and Aminu were arrested. Since they were not released, I don’t care if they send thousands of soldiers. I am not tired, and I will not stop until I leave this world. I can kidnap top government officials, even a state governor,” he said.
The bandit leader also alleged that he receives advance information about security operations, claiming that individuals within security agencies leak details of planned offensives to him.
“I swear to Almighty God that all the security forces sent to attack my camp are my boys. They inform me whenever they are coming. I receive information about security strategies, including those involving the President. It is only because I allow them to operate. Otherwise, they would not even be able to use the roads,” he claimed.
The allegations have not been independently verified, and Nigerian security agencies had yet to respond to the claims as of the time of filing this report.
