NAF Airstrikes Destroy Terrorist Hideouts, Neutralise Insurgents in Borno

The Nigerian Air Force has intensified its counter-terrorism offensive in Borno State, carrying out precision airstrikes that destroyed terrorist hideouts and logistics facilities in Biramiri within the Gezuwa general area.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Director of Public Relations and Information at the Headquarters Nigerian Air Force, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, said the operation was launched following credible Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance reports.

According to Ejodame, the coordinated strikes successfully destroyed key terrorist infrastructure and neutralised several insurgents operating in the area.

He noted that the latest operation had further weakened the operational strength of terrorist groups active within the Sambisa axis.

“The coordinated attacks destroyed key terrorist facilities and neutralised several fighters, further crippling the operational capacity of the insurgents,” he stated.

Ejodame added that the sustained air offensives had continued to create panic and confusion among terrorist elements, with intelligence reports indicating growing fear and disorientation within their ranks.

He explained that the continuous bombardments had restricted the insurgents’ movement and denied them access to safe havens across the region.

The Air Force spokesman reaffirmed the commitment of the NAF, alongside troops of Operation Hadin Kai and other security agencies, to sustaining pressure on terrorist networks while working to restore peace and security in the North-East.
