NAPS Ogun Elects MAPOLY’s Opatunmbi Boluwatife Joshua as New SLC Chairman

The National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS), Ogun State Stakeholders Leadership Council (SLC), has elected Comrade Opatunmbi Boluwatife Joshua of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Abeokuta, as its new Chairman.

The election was conducted during the NAPS Ogun State SLC Convention held at Gateway ICT Polytechnic, Saapade, Ogun State. The gathering brought together student leaders and stakeholders from various polytechnics across the state to deliberate on the future of the association and elect new leaders.

In his acceptance speech, Opatunmbi expressed gratitude to the national and zonal leadership of NAPS, Ogun State stakeholders, and senators representing polytechnics across the state for the confidence reposed in him.

He pledged to lead an inclusive, transparent, and unity-driven administration focused on the welfare and development of polytechnic students in Ogun State.

The newly elected chairman emphasized the need for collaboration among stakeholders to achieve the goals of the association, noting that collective efforts would strengthen students’ representation and advance their interests.

He also called on student leaders and members of the association across Ogun State to remain committed to the progress of NAPS, assuring them of purposeful leadership, accountability, and dedicated service throughout his tenure.

According to Opatunmbi, his administration will prioritize unity among students, promote effective advocacy, and ensure that the voices of polytechnic students in Ogun State are adequately represented.
